The laboratory spray Dryer HBSD-015 (lab spray dryer) is a premium, high performance spray drying system for drying of material in the liquid into powder form by removing the water or the solvent. The HBSD-015 needs very short set-up time and has an effective integrated nozzle cleaning mechanism. The system is having high degree of flexibility with different cylinder geometries. The system was designed to operate in two modes of run: Automatic-mode, and Eye-monitored mode for the purpose of easy controlling of the experimental process.

Assembly Structure
The stainless steel spray assembly consists of an inner tube for the liquid sample leading to a small diameter jet. An outer tube directs compressed air to the nozzle. All units are supplied with 0.7mm jets as standard and other sizes are available as accessories. The spray assembly incorporates an automatic de-blocking device that prevents the blockage of jet nozzle and the de-blocking needle is activated by an integral compressor.
Note: De-blocker is sometimes necessary with materials which may solidify or when large particles in suspension cause blockages in the jet.
High Performance
The system is highly efficient to process a smallest volume of 20-30 ml, and to a maximum capacity can up to 2LPH. The system can handle vast variety of material in less time.
Temperature protection
The HBSD-015 has an intelligent control system that turns the blower off only if the temperature of the heater reaches the safe value to ensure safety of the operator.
Construction and Spares
Borosilicate glass or SUS 304 stainless steel Spray chamber, cyclone separator, collector are all made of Borosilicate glass which can resist strong acid/alkali, high temperature. It can work in a no-pollution and stable environment, and the whole process can be inspected. The system can be provided with SUS 304 stainless steel parts and all the spare parts are easy to install and clean.
Air compressor
Built-in Oil free air compressor is provided with a cushion technique which ensures lower noise and convenient to move the dryer. The compressed air container is made of SUS 304 stainless steel to avoid vapor corrosive damage.
Working Principle
The user can select the inlet temperature, airflow, automatic de-blocker frequency and pump speed.
The self-priming peristaltic pump delivers the sample liquid from a container through a small diameter jet into the main chamber. At the same time an integral compressor pumps air into the outer tube of the jet which causes the liquid to emerge as a fine atomised spray into the drying chamber.
Heated air is blown through the main chamber evaporating the liquid content of the atomised spray. The solid particles of the material, which are normally in a free-flowing state, are then separated from the exhaust air flow by a cyclone and collected in the sample collection bottle. The exhaust airflow is directed through a flexible 60 mm diameter hose direct to atmosphere or to an existing extraction system.
